Taiwan To Setup Radioactivity at Airport

Taipei, March 15 (CNA) The Atomic Energy Council said Tuesday that it will set up radioactivity checkpoints at the country's main entry points in light of a potential widespread radiation release from the stricken Fukushima Daichi nuclear plant in Japan.

Travelers entering Taiwan via Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Songshan International Airport and Kaohsiung International Airport will have to pass through the checkpoints, according to the council.

Meanwhile, Taiwan's Department of Health said it has been taking 20 random samples of fresh produce imported from quake-affected areas of Japan and neighboring
